During our five day trip to San Diego, we made our way to Mission Beach and figured we had to check out Miss B’s Coconut Club. Everyone talks about it, so we wanted to see if it was actually worth the hype or just another flashy beach bar. Right away, the place had a fun vibe, and the menu had way too many things we wanted to try. We ended up sampling a bunch, and honestly, the tacos were insane, the shrimp was ridiculously good, and everything had bold, unexpected flavor. So is it just a trendy spot with good lighting, or does it actually hold up? Here is what went down.

Miss B’s Coconut Club is definitely worth a visit, and here’s why.

With its history rooted in Mission Beach’s early days as a “tent city” in the early 20th century, the club captures the vibrant spirit of the area.

Originally, Mission Beach was developed by J.M. Asher, who marketed it using a fictitious character, Miss B., a charming cover girl who became the face of the Mission Beach brochure.

Today, Miss B’s Coconut Club revives this colorful past, blending it with a lively Caribbean twist.

The dĂ©cor at Miss B’s is a nod to this history, creating a tropical club atmosphere that’s both nostalgic and fun and a popular spot with locals and visitors.

Their happy hour, from Monday to Friday, 3 – 5 pm, is fantastic, featuring $5 drafts and $7 daiquiris and mojitos, among other deals. If you’re into rum, you’ll love their creative cocktails and tropical punches designed for sharing.

You can treat a friend at Miss B’s with one of their gift cards. They are available in values from $5 to $500, and you can personalize and set a digital delivery date.

If you’re an absolute fan of the place, then check out their merchandise which includes beanies, sweatshirts, hoodies, and T-shirts, allowing you to take a piece of the Miss B’s Club home with you.

Events are also a big part of the Miss B’s experience.

They have special offers and theme nights, like the popular La Familia Mondays, where service industry workers get 53% off their drinks tab, and Bottomless Mimosas on weekends from 10 am to 2 pm.

At Miss B’s Coconut Club, the menu is full of delicious options.

For food, you can enjoy breakfast tacos, an acai granola bowl, or their signature Cubano Benedict. At lunch enjoy their jerk jackfruit wrap and jerk-rubbed chicken wings with a choice of two sauces. They also offer plenty of variations to suit your taste and dietary needs.

Their cocktails are a hit, with the Lo-Fi Pina Colada, the signature Havana Good Time, and a mimosa flight.

Beer lovers will find various draft and craft beers, including Miss B’s own Pineapple Mango Seltzer.

For non-drinkers, try Ed’s No Rum Runner Mocktail, which has a mix of tropical flavors and 0% proof rum!

The service is friendly, fast and fun. I cannot say enough good things about this bar and restaurant.” Brian Wigley (source)

“Man this place has the vibe, the food, and the drinks. Waitress was super nice and quick. The food has a Jamaican flavor. The drinks all have their own names and theme and the music on the deck is a great vibe.” Grayson (source)
