During our five day trip to San Diego, we made our way to Mission Beach and figured we had to check out Miss B’s Coconut Club. Everyone talks about it, so we wanted to see if it was actually worth the hype or just another flashy beach bar. Right away, the place had a fun vibe, and the menu had way too many things we wanted to try. We ended up sampling a bunch, and honestly, the tacos were insane, the shrimp was ridiculously good, and everything had bold, unexpected flavor. Originally, Mission Beach was developed by J.M. Asher, who marketed it using a fictitious character, Miss B., a charming cover girl who became the face of the Mission Beach brochure.
Today, Miss B’s Coconut Club revives this colorful past, blending it with a lively Caribbean twist.
The décor at Miss B’s is a nod to this history, creating a tropical club atmosphere that’s both nostalgic and fun and a popular spot with locals and visitors.
Their happy hour, from Monday to Friday, 3 – 5 pm, is fantastic, featuring $5 drafts and $7 daiquiris and mojitos, among other deals. If you’re into rum, you’ll love their creative cocktails and tropical punches designed for sharing.
You can treat a friend at Miss B’s with one of their gift cards. They are available in values from $5 to $500, and you can personalize and set a digital delivery date.
