We recently went to Catalina Island for a 5-day trip for our anniversary, and it felt like a secret getaway right off the coast, with beautiful beaches, tons of activities, and cute little shops in Avalon. Even though it’s just an hour away from mainland California, this island has completely different feel – think small town on an island. Plus, it’s a great romantic spot for couples.
Weather:
Mild Mediterranean climate with warm, sunny summers and mild, wetter winters. Can get chilly and windy during some days.
Best Time to Visit:
Depends on what you prefer – summer for water activities, spring for green mountains, fall for festive events and winter for NYE events and a lit Casino
