Our Holiday Inn Santa Maria Review
We’ve stayed at many Holiday Inn hotels but this one seemed to have large rooms!
My family checked in earlier at Room 443 so we asked the front desk if we could get a room close to theirs. The staff member was helpful and we got the room right next to theirs, Room 445.
The hotel is big so they provided a small map of the hotel and patiently mentioned where the elevators and other features were.
The room we stayed in was clean and we didn’t hear any noises from the other rooms during our entire stay. The rooms were plain in décor compared to other Holiday Inn hotels we’ve stayed in.
One of the nights we needed a few dishes and silverware for dinner and called the front desk. A while later, they brought us a box of lots of kitchenware!
There were a few negatives during our stay here. The bathtub faucet is hard to pull to turn it on – the faucet needed to be facing down to be turned on.
While the breakfast options were great, there weren’t any vegetarian meal options (for my parents). But we were able to customize the options for them.

The Holiday Inn & Suites Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Santa Maria. You can see it while driving on Highway 101. The hotel is only a few minutes from Santa Maria’s attractions, restaurants and wineries.

The hotel’s rooms are comfy and spacious! There’s so much space between the beds and the kitchen.
The rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable, a microwave and a medium-sized refrigerator, as well as premium bedding.

The full-service bar provides a variety of drinks including local wines. The bar has 2 flat screen TVs for you to enjoy entertainment while having an evening drink.
If you’re traveling with kids, here’s another bonus! If your kids are 11 and under, they eat for free! (up to 2 kids per adult or 4 kids per party)
For breakfast, we were provided 2 breakfast coupons – one for each day – worth $20. We ate breakfast here for both mornings and were fully satisfied!
The server was patient with us when we wanted to customize some of the options. Plus we got refills for coffee and tea!
